Gardening in April

It's April first and I can see the snow falling. The ground is white again and all my plants are spread around my living room. I have around 600 seedlings started with another 500 to go soon. The cold weather makes it difficult when you don't have a heated greenhouse.
Heated greenhouse is on the list of things I need this year if i'm going to keep offering spring transplants.

Hopefully next week the ground will thaw and be dry enough, and my house garden will be cultivated. I'm looking forward to getting seeds in the ground.

There are lots of plants you can direct seed in April, all the greens (lettuce, spinach, kale) onion sets, peas, beets, and carrots if you are lucky.
Last year I transplanted the last week of April all my frost hardy plants. I'm hoping I can get in the garden a week earlier this year.

Have you started your seeds yet? What do you have growing?
